Maybe it would be better if I just didn't say anything about short men 5"4 and under being discriminated against to the point of: violence, adult teasing, lower salaries, acceptable bigotry in society, sexual beration, bullying on sidewalks for walking, stereotyped under all types of terms (short men syndrome, little man syndrome, napoleon complex, weak, shrimp, twerp, little general and any word that means small or little is also referred synonymously with weakness in English) and the rest of society blindly believing all this true.  Maybe I should not say anything because we all know that being quiet has always solved discrimination and public ostracizations throughout the history of humankind. 

My purpose for writing this is to write about the short man's experience.  This is a response to all those that say:"it's all in your head, height does not matter, I don't see height, Height discrimindation does not exist and should never be taken seriously, there is no problem." This is also a response to all the people that say "I married a short man or dated a short man and therefore none of these things are true." This is not a debate on confidence or lack of confidence, good looks or bad looks, nor is it comparing one undesirable trait in society to another.  All this is-is proof that short discrimination exists!!!

This is how much the USA (and a few other countries) are in denial over even admitting it exists, yet are so very quick to ironically perpetuate the stereotype and act out and voice the discrimination.

I have to write all this just for people to be able to acknowledge it exists.

Allow me one rant:  Rant:  "If an ugly person tells me of their experience being ugly and says they have faced discrimination, if a beautiful person tells me they too have faced it," I will listen and take into consideration what they say and most likely admit it exists.  That is all.  That was my rant and my point.  I would only like for the acknowledgment that height discrimination exists to be admitted to in the public. I do not expect a short man revolution or behaviors to change toward short men or to compare short men's trials with other people's problems.  As a short man, I only want to voice the experience, document the proof, and get people to perceive it correctly as a discrimination the mass public uses against the short man AND not-and not a made up belief held by the short man that is untrue in the world and is only true in the short man's mind.

I am not endorsing short men should receive anything from the government. I never even considered this as any talking point until other people accused my stating discrimination as a correct term implied that I was somehow wanting something monetary from the government.  No.  I am defending short men and bringing proof and attention to a form of discrimination that is practiced largely in our culture and is growing in its practice and discrimination.  I am calling attention to this because I am effected and it is very painful.  I am calling attention to this to let those who might think that what they say and do is in the name of a joke is actually very cruel and hurtful.  So, for those who say this stuff innocently will now be aware that it is not innocent and can know exactly what they are contributing to.

With that said: have you ever said anything negative about short men?  Would you want your child to be a short man of 5"4 or under?  Why not?  How many discriminations can you name that are perfectly  okay'd in society, the media, propaganda, in churches, in families to say out loud and in front of the accused without worrying about any backlash?  How many discriminations are put on people that are perfectly healthy and normal acting and looking for one physical feature that is not a health concern or risk and that is considered normal throughout all society and all time?

My only attempt and purpose for this study is to try and fight the discrimination put on short men and to defend short men's position. Maybe you might find it interesting. Maybe you won't.  Everybody has problems and sadly- yet truly enough-- the world operates off of "if you aren't in some way making my life better (making me look good, entertaining me, giving me financial gain, sex, peace of mind spiritually, listening to me, serving one of my needs), I have no time to hear about how I can help you and others like you. I can also see how my writing this can be useful to short men 5"4 and under to see that they are not alone (although they might be THE only one in a neighborhood, school, workplace, family) and are correct in seeing that it is not their percetion/outlook or response to discriminations that is wrong, but a reality that other people's discriminations against them are real and proven.  Here's the proof:

How many media, propaganda, commercials ridicule height? The credit score commercials with 3 men show a short 5”4 ish, fat, bald man digging in his ears and smelling his underarms with a low-short 583 score standing next to taller and more attractive facially and body wise men with higher credit scores. The take away is taller men don't only look better than short men, but also are more physically fit, smiling and happy, wealthier, and better investors.
